Psalm 119 is basically 176 verses of the psalmist saying, “God, I really, really love Your Word.” And while that might sound a little intense, there’s something wonderfully practical underneath all of it: what gets into us eventually comes out of us. Our interaction with God’s word is less about simply reading it but rather, letting the Word of God read us, form us, and make us people through whom He can speak. Below are some questions that will guide you as you listen:
- How do we become keepers?
- Why do we need help and where do we find it?
- Toward what do we live?
- Where is our refuge and comfort?
- What teaches us that God wills good for us?
- In his absence, where do we find his presence?
- Where do we find a path better than all the paths we see here?
- Where do we find justice in an unjust world?
- Where is the light even while it is still dark?
- In what is the sincerity of our prayers revealed?
- Where is God’s faithfulness and ours revealed fully right now?
