As background for a discussion about equity and peacemaking, Barry gives us a history lesson through the twists and turns of JFK’s Affirmative Action. A major stop on the way is colorblindness, and whether or not it is a beneficial impediment.

Hello,
I’m glad I’ve found your podcast again. I used to listen to your radio show on 90.9 back in the 2000s when you were a professor of humanities.
Your process of thinking is worth considering. I don’t listen to any preaching from your college anymore (i do not trust their preaching anymore since Robert jeffress aligned himself publicly to Donald Trump), but I’ve always regarded your conversations (from a conservative perspective) to be more reliable than other conservatives when discussing Christianity and culture.
It’s not perfect – nobody’s is – but I do find it thoughtful, and intentional towards a scriptural, even handed,
discussion that regards the sides of the issues you discuss with charity,
considering that your primary audience probably White and evangelical, and likely republican. I’m looking forward to more of your podcast in the future.
Hi Daniel! What a faithful listener! Thank you for sticking with us for so long. Dr. Creamer was glad to hear that you find our content thought-provoking and fair-minded. Also, I wanted to mention that the church and the college haven’t been affiliated since 2010. Obviously, they were when you were listening all those years ago, but things are different now. You should give some of those sermons a listen and see just how different!
